Reticulated Polyurethane Foam |
The foam filter used in the plastic fan filter assemblies is ideal for many filtration applications.
It is completely safe to handle. It is non-allergenic, non-toxic and resistant to most common detergents and solvents. |
Pore Size
Available in 30, 45, 60 and 100 ppi (average number of pores-per-linear-inch). The range of ppi provides an open cell with little air restriction to a fine-celled foam for maximum particulate filtration.
Thickness
The foam media used in the fan filter assembly is approximately 3/32” thick and is tough enough for
frequent handling or washing. This media is designated as “A” when ordering.
Flammability Classification
The foam filter media used in the plastic fan filter assemblies are
rated with a UL 900 testing, Class 2.

Filter foam is UL Rated 900 Class 2 |

Poly/Cotton Fiber Media |
Another choice for particulate filtration is the non-woven fiber media designated as “B”.
It is a blend of polyester and cotton fibers that have been chemically bonded with ethylene vinyl chloride/poly
vinyl acetate. The filter media provides excellent filtration and the air pressure drop will vary with size of
filter and rate of CFM. This media is available on the FF150, FF250,
FF325, FF365, FF450 and FF500 fan filter assemblies. Poly/Cotton
fiber media is rated as Class 2.
Not available in FF-SC series. |

Aluminum Screen Mesh |
When no particulate filtration is required, a screen wire can be used in the fan filter assembly
that will allow maximum air flow. The 1618 screen wire is the most porous. The screen wire is easily cleaned with water and/or detergents.
Aluminum screen wire is designated as "C".
Not available in FF-SC series. |
